There are a variety of actions that will trigger a notification to another user in Grow. Some notifications include the content of the touchpoint, and others will provide a link to review the feedback in Grow. Interested in changing your email notifications? Follow the directions here.
When an observation or evaluation is finished, the observer has two options-- Finalize or Finalize and Notify Teacher. Clicking Finalize and Notify Teacher will send an email to the teacher with a link to the observation in Grow. Clicking Finalize will give the teacher access to the observation if they were to log in, but they will receive no email letting them know it's there.
Users will see the content of their Quick Feedback in the body of the email. They can click on the link if they'd like to comment on it or ask any questions back to the leader who sent it.
Action Steps & Goals
Users will receive a notification whenever an Action Step or Goal is assigned or updated (i.e. marked as Mastered). Both emails will show the content of the Action Step.
Users will receive an email anytime a comment is left on a Touchpoint they are involved in. For example, a teacher would receive an email if their coach commented on an Action Step, and the coach who assigned the Action Step would receive an email if the teacher left a comment. The comment will always appear in the body of the email.
If you click the blue Share button on the top right of a Touchpoint, you'll be prompted to type in a message and select the user(s) who will receive an email. They'll see your message and a link to the Touchpoint.
Discussion Tab Comments
Comments saved on the Discussion tab of Meeting Templates are emailed to every individual who is listed as a participant in the meeting. Any participant in the meeting has the ability to leave a comment here.
