Take interactive walkthroughs of SchoolMint Grow's core features!
Please note: This article applies to all users.
How It Works:
The first time you log into Grow, you will be met with your Walkthrough Assistant. Clicking Let’s Start the Tour! will take you directly to the first interactive walkthrough.
At any time, you can click Take A Tour in the bottom left of your screen and start a guided walkthrough of a feature in Grow you’d like to learn more about.
In the pop-up, you’ll see a set of chapters specific to the role you have at your school. Click on each chapter to see a set of walkthroughs. Then click the orange arrow to start the interactive tour for a specific feature.
Navigate through the walkthrough by following the prompts. You may be asked to type in text, click an element, or simply read the description and click an orange 'Next' button.
You can leave a walkthrough you’ve started at any time by clicking on the X in the top right hand corner. If you’d like to restart a walkthrough you’ve exited, no problem! Just click back on the Take a Tour button. You'll also be able to redo any walkthroughs that you've already completed.
First Time Users
We recommend completing your walkthroughs in the order that they are presented to you. While you have the option to go in any order you'd like, your best self-training option would be to start with the first chapter, Introduction, and the first walkthrough, Overview of Toolbar. After finishing the chapter, you can then move on to the next chapter in the list or find a specific feature you're interested in learning more about.
Pro Tip: You might stumble upon a tour that gives a warning and then ends. This is because you do not have access to the specific feature that the tour is for. If your tour ends on a feature you wish your school/district had, you should reach out to your school leaders to get in contact with your Customer Success Manager!
Looking for a Refresher
As a returning Grow user, you may not need to go through the entire in-platform training. If this is the case for you, feel free to jump around and explore the walkthroughs for features you're less familiar with.
We recommend you take the same approach to these walkthroughs as the 'Looking for a Refresher' group. In addition to the standard set of walkthroughs, you'll have a chapter called Configure Whetstone, which will walk you through things like creating coaching groups and editing site settings. As you go through this chapter, please don't hesitate to reach out to Support & Feedback or your Customer Success Manager with any questions.
Grow has a lot of different reporting options! Each report has a Tour this Report button directly on the page. Click that button to get a tour of the main components of that report!
